Boeing 737-800
An everyday jet with a very specific identity.
Original stylised recognition graphic. Not a scale plan or an archival photograph.
Why it matters
The 737-800 is part of the Next-Generation family, not the 737 MAX 8. Boeing reported its first delivery to Hapag-Lloyd in April 1998. It fills the short- and medium-haul passenger role.
Look closely
Start with two engines below a low swept wing, then examine the nose, nacelles and wingtip treatment. Do not rely on the airline paint scheme: fleets and liveries change, while a model identification should use the airframe and a reliable registration record.
Read the numbers properly
Our comparison uses Boeing’s published -800 data and names the winglet-era span. Seating is an airline choice within approved limits. A range figure is a planning capability, not a promise that every loaded flight can travel that far.
